The exact schedule and working sequence depend on the property, surfaces and scope, but the main stages stay consistent.

1. Send an enquiry

Start with the property location, the areas or surfaces you want painted, whether the work is interior, exterior, residential, commercial or strata, and any timing constraints you already know about. Photos can provide useful context, but they do not replace seeing the project in person.

2. Site visit and quote

PGP visits the property to review the scope, surface condition, access, preparation requirements and practical constraints. The quote is then prepared around the work discussed during that visit. This gives both sides a clearer basis for the schedule and the work to be completed.

3. Scheduling

Once the quote is accepted, the project is placed into the schedule. Timing depends on the scope, access and current project calendar. Exterior work also depends on suitable temperature, rain, dew and drying conditions, so weather can move the working sequence or start date.

4. Painting

The painting stage follows the accepted scope and the preparation, protection and coating requirements described in the quote. The order of work varies by property. Occupied homes, commercial spaces and strata projects may need to be completed in phases so access and day-to-day use can be managed.

5. Final walkthrough

When the painting is complete, PGP completes a final walkthrough with the client. This is the point to review the agreed scope, raise any questions and identify any outstanding items that need attention before the project is closed.

6. Payment

Payment follows the final walkthrough and is handled according to the accepted quote. PGP does not currently offer financing.

These are the current ranges PGP uses for early planning conversations:

• One room: about 2 working days for the walls, ceiling, trim and doors.

• Kitchen cabinets: about 1 week.

• A full interior: about 3 working days to 4 weeks, depending on the property's size, condition, access and level of detail.

• An exterior repaint: generally about 2 weeks to 1 month, with weather, preparation and drying conditions affecting the schedule.

• A commercial or strata project: about 1 week to 6 months, depending on the size, phasing, access and operational requirements.
